Transplant Intensive Care Unit.

The Pediatric Organ Transplant Program at the Narayana Childrens Centre is one of the most experienced and innovative programs in India. Babies and children from throughout the country and even abroad come here for this complex procedure and for comprehensive care before, during and after transplantation.

Comprehensive care provided after Liver, Kidney and Bone Marrow transplantation is essential to the child’s long-term recovery and healthy development. Immediately after surgery, care in Narayana Childrens Hospital’s 3 bedded Transplant Intensive Care Unit is provided by a cohesive team that includes pediatric critical care physicians and intensive care nurses, the transplant surgeons, transplant nurses, and other members of the extended care team. Once the patient is more stable, he or she is transferred to another nursing unit within Narayana Childrens Centre to complete the recovery process and get ready to return home.
