ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA-
B.SC Nursing
1. The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on or before 31st Dec. of the year of admission.
The candidate shall have passed two years Pre University examination conducted by Department of Pre-University Education, Karnataka , with English as one of the subjects and Physics ,Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects. The candidate must have obtained a minimum of not less than 50% marks in Physics ,Chemistry, Biology and English taken together in the qualifying examination. In respect of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes or Other Back ward classes, the marks obtained in Physics , Chemistry ,Biology and English taken together in qualifying examination be not less than 40% instead of 50% as above.

2. The minimum educational requirements shall be the passing with 50% of total marks in science subjects of the qualifying exams of: Higher Secondary school certificate Examination (12 years Course)
or
Senior School certificate Examination (10+2),pre-degree Examination (10+2)
or
An equipment with 12 years schooling from a recognized board or university with science ( Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and English with minimum of 50% aggregate marks (PCBE).
or
Vocational course: 10+2 vocational course of State Government of Kerala with Physics, chemistry and biology and domesticating nursing.
3.Candidate shall be Medically Fit.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA - GNM COURSE
1.Minimum and Maximum age for admission will be 17 and 35 years respectively. For ANM/LHV. There is no age bar.
2. Minimum education:
a. 10+2 class passed or its equivalent preferably with Science (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) subjects with aggregrate of 45% marks.
b. Those who have cleared 10+2 vocational ANM course (revised after 2001) from the school recognized by Indian Nursing Council.
c. ANM training i.e. 10+1 ½ years training should also have passed +2 or its equivalent examination.
3. Admission of students shall be once in a year.
4. Students shall be medically fit.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA - M.SC COURSE
According to the revised ordinance of the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences Notification No. ACA/ORD/25/2005-2006, the eligibility criteria is as follows.
- The candidate shall have passed B.Sc. Nursing (Basic) or Post Certificate B.Sc Nursing of RGUHS or any othr university of Health sciences accepted as equivalent by RGUHS.
- The candidate must have obtained a minimum of not less than 55% aggregate marks.
- If the candidate belongs to Schedule Class or Schedule Tribe the aggregate marks obtained should be not less than 50% aggregate marks.
- The candidate must have a minimum of one year work experience after obtaining B.Sc. nursing degree. In case of Post Certificate B.Sc. Nursing the candidate must have one year work experience before or after obtaining the degree certificate in an institution which is recognized by the INC.
- The candidate must be a registered nurse and midwife.
- The candidate shall be medically fit.
