Thrombiosis research institute of Narayana Hriduyalaya – Prof. Dr. Vijay V. Kakkar, a pioneer in Thromobosis research from England set up the TRI as a part of the TRI of London, to conduct various research activities about the pre-disposition of Indians on early coronary artery disease. The institute is on a mission to produce a vaccine that will prevent premature atherosclerosis, a contributing factor for heart attacks among young adults.
