Children’s Heart Link, USA. Minnesota based charitable organization, has helped NH organize free heart valves and medical disposables. It also arranges training programmes of the hospital’s specialists in the US and their medical facility to NH.
GOPIO, Malaysia. The Global Organisation of People of Indian Origin is a partner of NH’s efforts to reach out to the under-privileged heart patients of Malaysia. In association with GOPIO, the hospital is in the process of setting up a modern caritable cardiac diagnostic lab at Pearl Court Kauala Lumpur, linked with the Telemedicine Network at NH.
SACIM, Mauritius
The society of Aid to Children inoperable in Mauritius (SACIM) has organized heart operations on nearly 100 children in association with NH. The association is now over a decade old.
Ganashastha, Dhaka
Is one of the largest healthcare NGOs in Bangladesh. NH offers training programmes to cardiology students of Garashastha University, Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Indo-Tanzanian Friendship Hospital, Tanzania
NH is in the process of setting up the worlds’ first telemedicine medical hospital at Arusha, Tanzania, through satellite connectivity, aimed at offering cardiac care to the under privileged heart patients of Africa.
Interhealth Technolgies, Benmore, South Africa
This south African organization, under the directorship of Kevin Thomas, arranges for heart patients of African countries to be treated at NH.
Yeshaswini
In association with the Government of Karnataka, Narayana Hrudayalaya created a unique concept of a farmers health scheme. ‘Yeshasvini’, as it came to be known was launched by the State Co-operative Department. It offered all types of operations of the stomach, brain, gallbladder, spine, bones, kidneys and heart, entirely free of cost to 1.7 million farmers’ families across Karnataka for a monthly fee of only Rs. 5. Within an year of its launch, over 9,100 patients underwent various operations and over 36,000 people underwent free outpatient consultations in the 92 recognised hospitals in Karnataka under this scheme. Its amazing success in reaching good hospital care for so less, is re-launching it in many other Indian states under various names. Now, the Government of Karnataka is all set to launch a micro health scheme for the teachers of Karnataka, in association with the department of education to cover 3.5 million people.
