The general practitioners who require further analysis on ECGs can transfer the ECG to the hub hospitals and receive free consultation from reputed cardiac surgeons and cardiologists in Narayana Hrudayalaya.
Abhay P. Singavi, Head of Telemedicine Department, Narayana Hrudayalaya , said, “A survey revealed that the most accessible way to reach rural people is the telephone networks – the most widespread in this country. Thus we developed indigenous software to transmit ECGs with the help of Trans Telephonic ECG machines, making Narayana Hrudayalaya the world’s largest TTECG network.”
The TTECG, available between Rs. 45,000 – Rs 80,000 in the market can be availed at a subsidized rate of Rs. 12,500 directly from Narayana Hrudayalaya . This will be the only investment made by the general practitioner as the doctor consultation fees and the cost of material transfer are waived off as a part of the CSR programme of Narayana Hrudayalaya.
The 24-hour TTECG service provides quick medical support that is critical when protecting the heart patients form cardiac emergencies . In addition to that the complete cardiac support received by the general practitioners from Narayana Hrudayalaya will nurture a symbiotic relationship that is beneficial for both doctors and patients.
With close to 253 centres on its network, TTECG has not only strengthened its base in India, but has also spread its wings across Tanzania, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Mauritius, Malaysia and others countries.
