| In good old days, we used to conduct heart camps in the villages, examine hundred’s of patients with a stethoscope and whenever we found abnormality we used to ask them to come to Narayana Hrudayalaya for a free check up. But to our surprise very few of the them ever reached our hospital. Because for a farmer loosing one day of wages and travel inconvenience, is something which is beyond its needs. So we thought, if we can put all the machines in a large bus, (what your seeing here), is which an Echo Machine, Thread Mill, ECG’s, defibrillator. This bus goes to the villages and we convert a village school as a temporary heart hospital to do all the investigation free of cost. Then patients, who only require to procedure its needs, ask to come to Narayana Hrudayalaya. This way we are able to treat over 1, 21,000 patients in the last six years. |

| The mobile diagnostic unit is an approach to provide sophisticated diagnostic test like Echo,USG, Thread mill test etc. to the masses at their doorstep through the community outreach programs. The facility performs diagnostic tests by organizing camps in remote areas free of cost. |

| Keeping up with this objective we routinely perform preventive health check up programs in the various localities of Karnataka and its adjoining areas. A team of doctors, paramedics and technicians accompanies the unit for screening patients. |

| Our aim is to link the mobile unit to our specialty centers Bangalore with the satellite link from ISRO.This will enable us to fulfill the dream to bring healthcare to the doorstep of a common man. |
